First time home buyers, Mikaela and Victor Mora were moving from San Francisco to Marin County to be closer to their family. This was their first time buying a home, and Mikaela’s mom’s friend recommended they call Karen Robertson Strain to represent them.

What was the hardest part of the process?
“All the paperwork. We had no idea there was going to be so much paperwork.”

So what surprised you most about the buying process?
“We lucked out. This was the first house we bid on, and we got it. We knew that was unusual for this market.”

How did Karen prepare you for the process?
“Karen was very patient with us as first time home buyers and was very patient with us when answering all our endless questions.”

What was it like working with Karen on the search for your home?
“We did not make it easy for her. Right after we bid on the home, we went on a trip to Europe. She worked with us during this very stressful time with all the logistics of being abroad during the escrow process.”

Buying a home can be stressful. How did Karen help with the stress of the process?
“She arranged all the inspections while working with our crazy schedule. She was super responsive and responded to our emails sometimes within minutes. This made us feel cared for and that we were a top priority.”

So what do you like best about your home?
“We love the backyard the most. This is an older house that wasn’t  updated in a long time, but we’re excited to put our stamp on it.”

If you had a friend who was starting the buying process, what would you tell them about working with Front Porch Realty Group?
“Karen has great energy and is super knowledgeable. She never pressured us to go higher, so we felt comfortable with the bidding and closing process. I would recommend Karen to anyone who is looking to buy a home!”
