Since 2003, when Yoko Kasai entered the real estate industry, she has shared her expertise in the area with clients, helping them navigate the dynamic Bay Area market. In that time, she has made her mark on the industry, having sat as President of the Marin Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® and the Marin Association of REALTORS® (MAR®), Director of the California Association of REALTORS®, and Class A Director and Chair for Bareis MLS. Holding these positions has kept Yoko at the forefront of the industry and developed networks across the state that she leverages to benefit her clients. For her tireless efforts, Yoko was named the MAR® 2020 REALTOR® of the Year.

Yoko loves the challenges that come with helping clients buy and sell homes and their investment properties. Supporting people through these important financial decision is one of the most rewarding aspects of her career. A large part of that responsibility is taking the stress out of a real estate transaction by providing clients with up-to-date, relevant information based on their needs and collaborating with them honesty and with transparency. Leading with kindness and compassion, Yoko embraces change while remaining centered; but because her clients always come first, she remains flexible in her approach. “It all works beautifully when everyone involved is in alignment and committed to the process,” she says.

Yoko was born in Japan but has called the Bay Area home long enough to understand all its nuances, including what makes each county unique. After graduating from Saint Mary’s College of California in 1995, Yoko started her career in the hospitality industry, developing her operational skills and eventually led a team of destination managers. This was the perfect foundation for a real estate career, as it involved being accessible, communicating with diverse personalities, and managing many details to achieve numerous and varied goals.

Yoko’s path has refined her edge. What once was about juggling and efficiency has become discernment, presence, and precision. Shaped through years of endurance sports and competition, her drive and love of a challenge still run deep, but today they’re matched by a steadiness that clients feel immediately. In addition, Yoko is a facilitator of systemic and family constellations and brings a grounded, intuitive awareness to her work—holding space for clarity, movement, and meaningful change. Staying aligned with her values is the throughline that continues to guide both her life and the people she serves.

Outside of real estate, Yoko remains deeply invested in connection and growth. She co-leads the women’s mastermind group Symmetry7 and co-founded AYYA, creating community dinners and connection spaces. She facilitates group constellations whenever possible and lives in San Rafael with her husband.
